- Grand Rapids, MI
Mrs. Warne serves as a group instructor at the start of camp to help awaken creativity and open the minds of our campers through musical exercises that help create community amongst our faculty and students.
Jill Collier Warne is a cellist, composer and creative collaborator devoted to human expression through the creation and performance of music. She is director and founder of Creative Connections, an international collective of musicians, composers and collaborators who facilitate
creative projects exploring identity and community. Her practice has enabled her to work in prisons, universities, inner-city schools, rural communities, and abroad, gaining recognition from organizations such as the Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute of Music, Baltimore Symphony
Orchestra and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Jill currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she has led creative workshops with the Grand Rapids Symphony, Opera Grand Rapids and the Grand Rapids Public Schools. She has a thriving cello studio and performs in cross-
arts and cross-cultural collaborations. When not creating and dreaming up musical projects, she is off dreaming with her three children while hiking in the woods or on the beach.
